I lived on Dixana Farm back in the 1950s. It was then called Woodvale Farm. My dad
managed the farm, his name was Robert Bennett. The owner then was Royce Martin. I received a call yesterday that the main house burnt down. It was such a beautiful place. The
house had a elevator in it.
I got stuck in the elevator
going from first to second floor. My dad knew Mary Fisher owner then of Dixana
Farm very well.
I'm living in MD. now but I do get to KY. every couple years. I would love to see Dixana Farm again.

I got to see this farm last spring when I was visiting my cousin Paula and her husband Duke. So Beautiful! I can't wait to see more of it when I come back in Nov.

My father, Thomas Ross Long, his 2 brothers, Albert and William, and sister, Evelyn grew up on your beautiful Dixiana farm and our family history and photo albums include many items from the years that my grandfather, Alan Long managed the farm.
I'm delighted to have seen this website and recognized many of the photos. I have photos of several of their racehorses as well as a great one of the main house with my father and aunt astride their mounts. I would be happy to share them with you, if you are at all interested.
thank you again, for maintaining this wonderful website.
